Project Description
JP is revitalizing BAF’s Noise Mitigation Program, ensuring that Airport Improvement Program (AIP) funds are effectively allocated for noise mitigation. The Airport is a civil-military airport and home to the Massachusetts Air National Guard. JP serves as the Prime Consultant, overseeing the implementation of the program.
Planning
- Updating the NCP per Title 14 of the Code of Federal Regulations Part 150 for FAA review.
- Transitioning the program from land acquisition to sound insulation.
- JP and HMMH collaborated to develop outreach materials and host public information meetings to rebuild trust in the Noise Program among the City and its residents.
- Reviewing and updating BAF’s Noise Exposure Maps (NEM) to reflect current noise conditions.
- Assessing existing land use and zoning in affected areas, along with associated municipal comprehensive planning, and providing recommendations for BAF’s Master Plan.
