Part 150 noise studies; Land use reuse plans; noise mitigation programs; and community outreach services
Project Description
In collaboration with long-time acoustical partner, HMMH, JP is helping MSN update its Part 150 Study. The civil-military airport is home to the Wisconsin Air National Guard, which recently transitioned its fighter aircraft to F-35As. As a sub-consultant, JP helps develop noise mitigation strategies, including land use compatibility recommendations, land acquisition plans, and detailed project costs and schedules to support MSN’s planning efforts.
Planning
- Assisting with strategizing, planning, and implementing public outreach and stakeholder engagement.
- Assisting in the development of a community outreach program.
- Assisted in developing the NEM, submitted to the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) for review in December 2022.
- Providing strategy, background information, and implementation plan for noise mitigation measures.
- Reviewing existing land use measures for evaluation of new measures, new and/or amendments to existing measures, concerning dwelling units, population, cost and funding sources, ease of implementation, and neighborhood stability.
