Project Description
JP is a sub-consultant for the MBTA’s Noise Mitigation Program, which was created to reduce the noise impacts from the new SCR commuter line. JP oversees homeowner participation, home assessments, and architectural designs that outline the available mitigation options. There are over 200 severely impacted properties located in Berkley, Fall River, Freetown, Lakeville, New Beford, Taunton and Raynham, MA. Previously, JP managed MBTA’s Blue Line Light Rail Residential Sound Insulation Program, which sound-insulated 130 housing units in East Boston and Revere from 1996-2001.
Residential Sound Insulation Program
- Completed outreach for 204 properties.
- Completed design on 85 participating properties.
- Construction completed on 65 properties to date.
