San Diego International Airport’s Quieter Home Program Wins 2015 Randy Jones Award
SAN DIEGO, Calif., September 25, 2015 – The San Diego County Regional Airport Authority (Authority) and its Quieter Home Program (QHP) is the proud receipient of the 2015 Randy Jones Award for Excellence in Airport Noise Mitigation. The American Association of Airport Executives (AAAE) presented the Authority with this national award, honoring its successful efforts as the largest remaining residential sound insulation program in the nation. The Authority has shown tremendous dedication towards the quality of life for those individuals living within the noise impacted communities surrounding the Airport. To date, the QHP has insulated over 3,300 dwellings. With over 6,000 properties still eligible, the QHP strives to continually improve procedures in an effort to provide seamless service to all stakeholders. As lead consultant for the QHP since 2006, Jones Payne maintains continuity and guides the process to achieve program goals within scope, schedule, cost, and quality.
