Residential Sound Insulation Program

Jones Payne works with the Community Development Commission of the County of Los Angeles (LACDC) delivering acoustical, architectural, engineering, and technical advisory services for its Residential Sound Insulation Program (RSIP).  LACDC’s RSIP provides assistance to families in unincorporated areas of the county to mitigate the impact of noise from aircraft flying into and out of Los Angeles International Airport (LAX). 

Jones Payne provides regional and national expertise to LACDC to ensure the new RSIP strikes the right balance between compliance with programmatic requirements and maximizing community benefits.

PROJECT HIGHLIGHTS:

• Provided resources to assist LACDC with project close-out efforts under old FAA requirements.
• Updated program specifications, details and policy & procedures manuals.
• Provides staffing support for design and construction administration activities.
• Oversees acoustical testing for determinations of eligibility.
• Oversees on-site electrical panel and service reviews.
• Oversees environmental surveys for the identification of lead paint and asbestos containing materials.
