Baton Rouge Metropolitan Airport

School Sound Reduction Program 

The Greater Baton Rouge Airport District (District) hired JP to sound insulate educational institutions in Baton Rouge, Louisiana– as part of Baton Rouge Metropolitan Airport’s Sound Reduction Program (SRP). JP served as project architect, providing comprehensive architectural services to include window and door design, HVAC upgrades, ceiling treatments, and ADA improvements. The District created the SRP to reduce noise levels inside buildings impacted by airport operations.

PROJECT HIGHLIGHTS

• Installed the following sound insulation materials:
  • New acoustically-rated windows and doors.
  • New central HVAC systems.
  • New acoustic ceilings with upgrades to roof assemblies.
  • New handicapped ramps and railings.

Church Sound Reduction Program 

In addition to schools, the District hired JP to sound insulate places of worship located near Baton Rouge Metropolitan Airport. As project architect for the SRP, JP provided architecture, design and construction administration services. 

PROJECT HIGHLIGHTS

• Installed the following sound insulation materials:
  • New acoustically-rated windows and doors.
  • New custom, designed acoustically-rated window units, with specialty “art glass”.
  • New ventilated roof insulation system.
  • New interior ventilation modifications.
  • New fresh air ventilation and central HVAC systems.
