Nightingale Hall:  Planning/Studies & Building Envelopes

Northeastern University requested our expertise to replace the roof and perform selective envelope improvements at Nightingale Hall. The design team assessed conditions of the existing roof, providing recommendations and cost opinions for specific areas of renovation. In the findings report, Jones Payne provided multiple roof options, recommending a built-up roof due to its complexity, including the amount of mechanical equipment on the roof, the long-term cost benefit, as well as a simplified process for future repairs. All drawings and documents have been completed and are awaiting bid.

Northeastern, a private research university located in Boston, MA, features one of the largest cooperative education programs in the world. The program integrates classroom study with professional experience and contains over 3,100 partners across all 7 continents.
