    San Diego’s Quieter Home Program reaches 3000th Home Milestone

    The San Diego County Regional Airport Authority recently celebrated the sound insulation of the 3000th home in its Quieter Home Program (QHP). The program treats a wide variety of contemporary and historic residential structures including single and multi-family homes, condominiums and apartments. Sound insulation treatments typically include installation of acoustical windows and doors, and, as needed, air conditioning or ventilation systems.

    Jones Payne attends AAAE GIS Conference

    Andrew Walter and Rodney Smith will be attending the American Association of Airport Executives (AAAE) GIS Conference and Exhibition.  This is the only conference specifically dedicated to the use of GIS at airports.

    Sarah Degutis, leader of the architecture practice group, is attending the 2015 LOCUS New England Leadership Summit: Closing the Next [Smart Growth] Deal.  This daylong conference is the first-ever regional leadership summit, held by Smart Growth America and LOCUS, brings together businesses, real estate and housing experts, and policy makers to help in building the region’s next great walkable spaces.

    WA State Regional Contracting Forum

    Jim Cornwell, project manager in our Seattle office, will be attending the annual Regional Contracting Forum in Seattle, WA on March 10, 2015. The forum provides the opportunity to meet government contracting representatives and network with contractors, consultants, and suppliers all at one event.

    It’s better to give than to receive

    This past holiday season, The Jones Payne Group started a company-wide fundraising campaign that will continue for years to come.  Members of the Jones Payne staff donated money which was then matched by the company.  The firm chose to support the Woodhouse Cerebral Palsy Adult Home, a facility for adults with developmental, physical, and intellectual disabilities.

    Tweed New Haven Project Starts with Windshield Survey and Community Meetings

    The Jones Payne team is conducting a windshield survey of residential properties in the airport noise contour in New Haven and East Haven.  Our team created a customized smart phone application to document existing conditions of homes which will store data with real-time access for the residential sound insulation program.
