Continuing our spirit of industry innovations, the Information Management and Geospatial Services (IMgS) team is completing a Management System for the Philadelphia International Airport’s (PHL). The Residential Sound Insulation Management System (dubbed RSIMS.net) will enable PHL to administer and implement many aspects of RSIP implementations such as:
- Tracking and reporting home and phase status
- Tracking design and construction activity status
- Scheduling homeowner visits and appointments
- Logging and tracking problems and follow-up actions
- Documenting homeowner communication activities
- Generating reports and maps for project management and FAA reporting
RSIMS.net integrates project tracking and homeowner management data into a single comprehensive system that is available to multiple program users - ranging from those involved in administrative oversight or daily program management to intermittent specialized involvement by technical consultants.
Homeowner communication and document management are complex undertakings; and RSIMS.net allows for the creation and storage of project documents while simplifying the overall management process. It also facilitates document distribution, which enables participants to receive the information in the correct format. Finally, RSIMS.net offers document archiving, so the airport retains a complete set of the project documents generated and received for each property.
