Sound Foundations:
The key to any programs success can be traced directly back to the foundations on which it was laid. Understanding the budget, landscape, climate, and materials all dictate what foundation you will construct. Jones Payne's experience with respect to budget as it applies to funding sources and their limitations, landscape with respect to Sound Insulation, climate with respect to the local politics, and materials with respect to the community of builders, vendors and homeowners ensure the programs structure is sound.

The tools we use include Program Policy and Implementation Manuals, Communication Plans, Responsibility Matrices and Workflow diagrams to build a foundation that can fully support the program you are intending to create. A principal or associate of the firm will always be involved in the building of this foundation giving you the knowledge base and standard of care you deserve.

Sound Relationships:
Give a homeowner doors and windows and they may be happy for a year. Involve a homeowner in the process and they will benefit for a lifetime. Lets face it, these programs are about community relations. While the stated goal is to provide sound reduction for properties affected by environmental noise, airports are trying to be better neighbors and strengthen communities. Jones Payne understands this goal and has created program tools to help airports realize this important goal. Our Homeowner Liaison staff specializes in communications and outreach and is supported by a multimedia production department that creates understandable, friendly, insightful tools for Public Relations including: Project Web Centers, Product Display Centers, Newsletters, Brochures, Mentoring and organizing Community Roundtable meetings.

Sound Partnerships:
We are not in this alone. The best laid plans and intentions can fall short if the contracting and manufacturing component of the program is forgotten. Forgetting to build partnerships with the contracting and vending communities can sink the ship. It is critical to create outreach programs for contractors and vendors alike to educate them about the program, process, goals and requirements of a program. By holding workshops and outreach programs we can give opportunity to the local contracting and vending communities as well as attract national players in the Sound Mitigation arena ensuring competitive bidding and available product. These workshops allow a program to trim it goals in order to respond to the reality of the current contracting and manufacturing capacities. Our Construction Group has built these relationships over the last 18 years and will bring that expertise to your program.

Sound Process:
Beware the tonic salesman, there is no one size fits all approach, test the climate and adjust your goals as required to insure success. While it is important to define a process, flexibility in approach is the only way to deal with the unforeseen. What happens when vendors can't supply product, the contractor defaults, the community dislikes the product options, response rates don't meet projections, building departments overflex their authority, you encounter historically significant properties? The list can go on. If a program can't modify its course accordingly, grants can't close and new monies won't be granted. We don't need to reinvent the wheel here as Jones Payne experience brings solutions that have been proven to respond to all these scenarios and more. Our process is efficient, informed and based upon sharing real-time information with you.

When it comes to design and creating contract documents, we are the most efficient in the business. We can, stop, re-tool, and get back on track when required. Our process is informed, we are not learning on your job, we bring the experience to create solutions to the unique circumstances your program encounters. Our knowledge is shared through good communications and our Sound Insulation Management Systems (S.I.M.S.) bringing you real time reporting and status updating.

Sound Tools:
While installing windows and doors is not rocket science, managing the wealth of information required to successfully implement and deliver these programs is. Our Information Technology group has been at the forefront of creating tools to manage information unique to these programs, thereby creating efficiencies that deliver successful solutions with you, for you. Real time cost estimating, automated field data entry, web-enabled shared databases, and interactive house tours are just some of the examples of what we can bring to you. These tools are customized for every program as foundations and process are defined and then live in the technology. We can link to your legacy databases including GIS so you can enhance you existing reporting capabilities, or you can subscribe as a user to our system. If your program has many consultants participating in the process, the system can be shared with them as well.

Sound Knowledge:
We believe shared knowledge is the mechanism to empower everyone in the project to perform at their best. "Enter one, Benefit All" is our mantra. Imagine all parties using the same database and eliminating the need for one party to print out their data only to have it re-entered in the others system, or placed in the file where it is not handy when you need it. Without the need for changing your platforms, or software, we can provide you a web-enabled solution that we call 'Sound Insulation Management System' (S.I.M.S.). Delivered through an ASP model, users can subscribe to access this system. Whether you choose to subscribe to the system or not, we will be using it on your project giving you access to our knowledge and process.
