Noise Mitigation Services

The Jones Payne Group continues to expand our focus and expertise in response to community needs for appropriate noise mitigation strategies. While our core mission has been to assist clients in the delivery of airport sound insulation programs nationally, the Jones Payne Noise Mitigation Group is increasingly involved in developing innovative solutions to environmental noise issues related to transit, rail and highway facilities as well.

Our overall objectives are to provide our transportation clients the right mix of managerial, technical, and technological resources to bear on their unique set of circumstances, and to tailor their noise mitigation program to best suit local needs. We bring the knowledge, creativity and experience in developing effective solutions for livable communities and neighborhoods adversely affected by environmental noise.

Background

The Jones Payne Noise Mitigation Group has a 18 year history in environmental noise, including land use/ noise mitigation strategies, sound attenuation feasibility studies, pilot residential sound insulation projects and program formulation/ implementation of noise mitigation programs. The firm provides program planning, management, design and construction services for the sound insulation of schools, churches, civic buildings, residential and historic properties affected by airport, highway, transit and rail noise.

Soundesign™ was created by Randolph Jones, AIA AICP and Michael Payne, AIA in the early 1980's in response to the need for noise mitigation services related to airports.
