Stretching tight budgets to serve the community in Boston
Boston Housing Authority (BHA) is the largest public housing authority in New England, housing nearly 10% of the residents of the city of Boston. Having such a large portfolio of housing developments they are often faced with large scopes of repairs and fixed budgets in which to perform the work.
The Jones Payne Group was contracted by the BHA on two multi-development projects: Window replacements and improvements for 6 developments, and building envelope improvements for 17 developments. On both projects, an existing conditions survey was conducted and investigative report submitted. The Report included prioritization of the work and initial budgets for each development. Our approach to analyzing the data lead to a unique prioritization that allowed BHA to stretch their money to accomplish more work.

City of Ontario, CA Quiet Home Program Selects Jones Payne Group
The Jones Payne Group has been selected to provide professional architectural, engineering and acoustical services for residential sound insulation projects in the City of Ontario, California. The Jones Payne Group was the top rated firm chosen by qualifications, response to proposal and interview selection process. The program's goal is to sound insulate approximately 75-100 houses under a Phase 8 grant awarded by both a FAA and LAWA noise mitigation grant. The purpose of the Residential Sound Insulation Program is to improve the living environment of the noise-impacted residents living near LA/Ontario International Airport by reducing interior noise levels to meet Federal and State of California Title 21 Noise Standards.
Port Columbus Residential Sound Insulation Program, Phase XI
The Jones Payne Group has been selected as the top offerror to provide project management, design and construction management services relating to Phase XI of the Port Columbus Residential Sound Insulation Program.
Philadelphia International Aiport Residential Sound Insulation Program, Phase III
The City of Philadelphia Division of Aviation selected the Jones Payne Group to provide the program managment services for Phase III of the Philadelphia International Aiport's Residential Sound Insulation Program.
Kick-off of Noise Mitigation Program for Ft. Lauderdale – Hollywood International Airport
The Jones Payne Group was contracted by Ft. Lauderdale-based prime consultant, The Urban Group, to head up the Residential Sound Insulation Program for Ft. Lauderdale – Hollywood International Airport’s noise mitigation program. The airport intends to provide a variety of noise mitigation options – purchase assurance, sales assistance, sound insulation and mobile home acquisition – to more than 2,000 residential homeowners. Currently, Jones Payne is heading up a 50-unit Early Action residential sound insulation effort.
Phoenix Sky-Harbor International Airport Selects CSDA/Jones Payne
The Jones Payne Group is part of a consultant team headed up by Corlett Skaer DeVoto Architects (CSDA) that has been selected by Phoenix Sky-Harbor International Airport to help implement the Non-Residential Sound Insulation Program – which is anticipated to include the sound insulation of up to 33 sites, of which 58 sites contain Places of Worship, Schools and Community Centers. Two years ago, CSDA / Jones Payne conducted a feasibility study for the airport that included an evaluation of each eligible structure from a historical, architectural, mechanical/electrical and acoustical perspective.
Boston Logan International Airport Selects Jones Payne to Deliver Program in a Unique Way
The Jones Payne Group has contracted with Massport to head up the Bayswater Environmental Program which represents acoustical improvement to up to 215 eligible homeowners. The Program offers specific environmental home improvements for residential properties located at the end of Runway 22R. Homeowners can select from options designed to produce interior noise reduction and / or air quality benefits up to a pre-established maximum grant amount per separately-owned residential property. Jones Payne staff will assist individual homeowners in evaluating and selecting improvement and product options. Homeowners are then responsible for soliciting bids from a pre-qualified list of local contractors & subcontractors. Jones Payne will review each bid and notify Massport with their recommendations regarding bid acceptability. The property owner is then responsible for choosing a contractor’s proposal from the bids deemed qualified by Jones Payne.
Tucson Airport Authority Selects Landrum & Brown / Jones Payne
The Jones Payne Group is part of a consultant team headed by Landrum & Brown that has been selected by Tucson Airport Authority to provide professional planning and consulting services for the Tucson International Airport’s FAR Part 150 Noise Compatibility Study and Airfield Planning Study. As part of the Landrum & Brown team, Jones Payne will support the project by providing data collection, database and website application management, and local agency interaction.
Boeing Field/King County International Airport Selects SM Stemper/Jones Payne
The Jones Payne Group is part of a consultant team headed up by SM Stemper Architects that has been selected by King County to help implement Phase 1 of its Residential Sound Insulation Program. Jones Payne’s national expertise in noise mitigation will help assure that the Program’s noise reduction goals are met and that the Airport continues to be a good neighbor to the surrounding communities of Tukwila, Beacon Hill, and Georgetown. King County International Airport (KCIA) at Boeing Field will celebrate its 80th year as an airport on July 25 and 26. Owned and operated by King County, the Airport is one of the top general aviation airports in the country and is a major catalyst for economic growth throughout the Puget Sound region.

The Boston Housing Authority selects The Jones Payne Group
The Boston Housing Authority has selected The Jones Payne Group to provide architectural services for building envelope improvements at the Torre Unidad Housing Development. Services for this project include existing conditions survey and report, recommendations establishing a prioritization for the scope of work and future work, design and specifications, and construction support. The Jones Payne Group will provide an initial study of the exterior wall conditions, identifying causes of loosening bricks and water infiltration, and base design for the envelope improvements on those findings.
