GIS Developer/Analyst

The Jones Payne Group has an immediate opening for a GIS Developer/Analyst with at least 4 years of extensive GIS programming experience in the ESRI development environment. The GIS Developer/Analyst will design, develop and implement GIS software applications with the firms GIS and Information Management Systems Practice Group, and will be based in Jones Payne's GIS Services Group office in Tucson, AZ.

We are seeking an entrepreneurial individual who wants to occupy a mid to senior level position in a rapidly expanding practice group with a nationally-recognized multidisciplinary architecture, planning and urban design firm. The successful candidate must be highly motivated, possess excellent written and verbal skills and have a strong background in applications development.

Qualifications for the position are outlined in job description. Candidates should take particular note of the following points which described key features of the position and the location of work:

  • One, place of work is primarily in the respective office, although travel to other project locations will be required.
  • Two, candidate should have a bachelors degree in Geography, Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems or a related field.
  • Three, candidate must be proficient in application design, coding, testing, maintenance and debugging.
  • Four, candidate must be able to effectively communicate abstract and technical information both orally and in writing.
  • Five, candidate must have experience with designing, creating, editing, and maintaining GIS data, geodatabases, scripts and metadata for numerous projects.
  • Six, candidate must have a willingness to be flexible in job tasks and ability to work alone and with teams of remote individuals.
  • Seven, salary is commensurate with experience.
