The People We Serve

Through our Noise Mitigation practice, we have provided services for the sound insulation of schools, churches, civic buildings, historic properties, and more than 25,000 units of housing affected by airport, highway or rail noise, across the nation.

There is no denying that noise is as insidious a pollutant as any other. It isn’t just “annoying” or potentially damaging to one’s hearing. It leads to high stress levels which can in turn cause numerous lasting harmful effects. Knowing that very young children are exposed to uncomfortably high noise levels is especially disturbing.

Poor urban planning, densities that reach dizzying heights, new flight routes being introduced at airports, and expanded commuter rail lines, all create noise that affects many people on a daily – and nightly – basis. Thankfully, we are able to help.

We pride ourselves in knowing that we possess the technical expertise needed to deliver projects on time and on budget. However, deadlines, technology and bottom lines aside, our ultimate reward remains our ability to help people of all ages live a more comfortable life, at home, church or school.

We can certainly rely on our experience and cutting edge information and project management systems to make the insulation process as smooth as possible. However, we never forget that the presence of our field teams in someone’s home is bound to be somewhat disruptive. We tell ourselves that we must treat homeowners the way we would like to be treated, in our own homes, if the tables were turned.

So when homeowners drop us a line to let us know that we succeeded in minimizing their discomfort during the assessment or construction phases, or to express their heartfelt thanks once the work on their home is complete, we know that we’re not just replacing windows and doors.
