Industry Experience

The Jones Payne Group is a firm committed to excellence in architecture, planning, program management and information management services for clients. Founded in 1996, with a national noise mitigation practice since 1984, The Jones Payne Group provides the collaborative benefits of a combined expertise in several design and technology disciplines, and a diversity of interests and experience. Jones Payne incorporates technology-based approaches to environmental assessments, architectural design, urban planning, and program management. Our applications emphasize systems that communicate relevant information quickly, with the least effort expended by users. To this end, we have been widely recognized as innovators and unique service providers and application developers.

Our nationally recognized Noise Mitigation Group has an 18 year history of leadership in the environmental noise industry, including land use / noise mitigation strategies, sound attenuation feasibility studies, pilot residential sound insulation projects, program formulation and implementation of noise mitigation programs. In 1984, the firm designed Logan Airport's pilot soundproofing project, one of the first in the nation. Since then, Jones Payne has served as Massport's Program Consultant for the sound insulation of over 7,000 dwelling units. Nationally, we have provided program management, design and construction services for the sound insulation of schools, churches, civic buildings, historic properties, and 20,000 units of housing affected by airport, highway, transit and rail noise.

Our President Randolph Jones is a member of the prestigious College of Fellows of the American Institute of Architects (AIA). This honor is awarded to AIA members who have achieved a standard of excellence in the profession of architecture. Election to fellowship not only recognizes the achievement of architects as individuals, but also recognizes their contribution to the profession of architecture and society on a national level. Out of a total AIA membership of nearly 81,000, there are fewer than 2,600 members who are distinguished with the honor of fellowship due to their notable contributions.
